“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (Proverbs 31:30, NIV).
A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised because she values God above everything! No matter how big or how little our problems are in life, we can take refuge in God. He will never leave us feeling empty or disappointed! Just as God demonstrates His love for us, we can demonstrate our love for others by our actions. God calls us to love others sincerely. This is an example of our love and inner beauty that others see through our actions. What are some ways you demonstrate your love for others?
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18, NIV).
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good” (Romans 12:9, NIV).
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry” (James 1:19, NIV).
“The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love” (Psalm 145:8, NIV).
Dear Lord, we rejoice in You! We worship You! We give thanks for all things and for meeting our needs. Thank You for all your mercies and for showing us grace. Please help us to be more like You; gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, and to be more loving toward others in our words and actions. We ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen
