How long will it last?

Days of grazing

Pounds of dry forage per acre per inch of height are rough averages — a grazing stick from your extension office or NRCS gives your own number.

    Graze, Rest, Repeat

Add your paddocks, then record each move. The board shows every paddock grazing, resting or ready, with rest days set by season and grass type, and you’ll be reminded on move day and when a rested paddock is ready. Short stays and long rests grow more grass, build the soil and help break the worm cycle in sheep and goats. “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.” — Psalm 23:2
