Welcome: how this course works
Welcome to Grade 3 History & Geography, a free course from the PGAMO Free K–12 School built on Core Knowledge History and Geography.
How each lesson works
- The Big Question — read it first; it tells you what the chapter is about.
- Words to know — go over the new words before reading.
- Read — the chapter’s pages are right in the lesson, pictures and maps included. There’s a text version too.
- Talk it over — discuss the questions. Answers for the teacher are hidden under each one.
- Activity pages — print and complete them when a lesson has one.
- Mark the lesson complete. Each unit ends with a short quiz.
Most families do two or three lessons a week — about 30 minutes each. This course has 61 lessons in 7 units, which fills a school year at that pace.
