    Smile Without Fear!

“Strength and honour [are] her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come” (Proverbs 31:25). So many woman are working so hard in this busy world, trying to take care of themselves and their families, while trying to make an income, they do not take time for themselves, and they find themselves suffering with anxiety, fear, and worries.

“An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.” This is a wonderful verse, but the truth of the matter is that not all women are married or wives, but this verse can be looked at differently for the woman that is not a wife. Now, in reading this verse, substitute the word wife if you are not a wife and use instead the word, woman. Regardless of your current status, focus on being a woman of value, described in the Proverbs 31 woman (Proverbs 31:10-30). The woman who smiles without fear is priceless and she is valued at being worth more than rubies (Proverbs 31:10).

The heart of the Proverbs 31 woman is something we receive as we spend time to God and respond to Him. Your value to God is so important to Him. You do not have to live a lifestyle of fear and worry when you begin to seek Him. You do not have to live exhausted, confused, or afraid. You can look to God for help.

When we examine the riches of God’s grace, we can see how God’s grace defines us and God’s grace frees us. If we want to smile without fear, we should consider the following: Is it up to God or is it up to me? When we stop being our own worst enemies and accept God’s grace, when we truly believe that Jesus Christ defeated death and sin, by faith in Jesus, God extends to us the right to freely receive His grace!

Sometimes, we just need to slow down and stop trying to do so much all the time. There are times that we just need to consider what it really means to spend time with God. “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place” (Mark 6:31). Jesus taught his disciples the importance of having time alone with Him.

Sometimes, we may need quiet time to read His Word, other times it may be listening and singing to songs, then, there are times, when we just need to be still. “Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10).

When we start taking the time to read God’s word, our lives will become better. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

When we take time for God, we will learn to rely on God and stop trying to impress Him. We will stop feeling so exhausted, confused, and afraid. Our thoughts and habits will change and we will begin to smile without fear, because we will be happier.
