- Meet in a public place or bring someone along for farm pickups, and tell someone where you are going.
- Keep contact in private messages until you’re comfortable. Never share bank details, and don’t pay with wire transfers, gift cards or apps you can’t reverse for something you haven’t seen.
- Ask for health records on livestock — vaccinations, testing (CAE, CL, Johne’s, pullorum where required) and any movement papers your state needs.
- Know your state’s rules for selling eggs, meat, raw milk, plants and seed. Some need a license, labels or inspection.
- Quarantine new animals for two to four weeks before they join your herd or flock.
- Be honest about what you list, and report listings that look like scams or break the rules.
PGAMO doesn’t handle payments or check listings before they appear. Trades are between members.

Neighbor to Neighbor
Any registered member can post a listing to sell, trade, give away or ask for something, with photos and the county and state it is in — never an address. Buyers reach you by private message on the site. Listings run 60 days and can be renewed, and any member can report a listing that looks wrong. Read the Trading Safely tab before you meet. “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” — Proverbs 3:27
