    “Give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine” (1 Timothy 4:13). Before the course walks us through all 66 books, it pauses on Nehemiah 8:1-8 and Acts 17:11 — because how we read matters as much as what we read. Ezra didn’t just read the Law aloud; he and the Levites “gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading” (Nehemiah 8:8). The Bereans “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11).
