Genesis through Deuteronomy can feel like ancient history — genealogies, laws, a wandering nation. But underneath it all is one redemptive foundation: a God who creates, who covenants, who rescues a helpless people out of Egypt “by a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm” (Deuteronomy 5:15), and who gives them a Law meant to shape a holy, grateful people, not earn His favor.
