Water & basic food storage
Water: 1 gallon per person per day for drinking and basic cleaning (more in hot weather, for nursing mothers and the sick). Food: basic per-adult yearly amounts widely used for long-term storage — children need about 70% and little ones about 40%. Babies need formula or breast milk; plan separately.

Ready, Not Afraid
Storms, outages, a lost job or a long winter — a stocked pantry lets you care for your family and help your neighbors. Store what you already eat, rotate it, and keep water on hand. Members can save their plan, tick off the checklist and see roughly how many days their own canning and freezer would feed the family. “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise… provideth her meat in the summer.” — Proverbs 6:6–8
